A Love Letter to the Earth from Parcel Health: Earth Day 2025
From Melinda, Pharmacist and CEO — Born and raised in Malaysia
Dear Earth,
I was born to you in the humid and unpredictable monsoon season of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Being so close to the equator meant I’ve only known your sun to be scorching hot. It’s unlike the mild, sunny Spring mornings I now enjoy in the northwestern hemisphere.
In my time of moving from the equator to the northwest hemisphere, I have seen and heard others call your afflictions by many names. Haze, water contamination, ozone tear, global warming, climate change, microplastic crisis – they all have different names but they all ring the same to me: our carelessness with your riches.
I trained to be a pharmacist and I initially believed my purpose was to be protecting patients but I’ve come to realize I have an equal obligation to protect you. You, mighty mother Earth, have given us disease-curing medications from plant leaves, tree bark, pig liver, fish blood, and lizard saliva. My oath to uphold pharmaceutical knowledge is intertwined with your health and vitality. Because without you to continue inspiring, creating, and preserving medical cures for humanity, there is no pharmacy care.
So on a rarely traversed path, I lead with a mission to reign in the carelessness we take with you. I commit to realigning healthcare with your care in mind. It took me a while to step into this path, but I now get to do it everyday in your honor.
From Mallory, Industrial Designer and President — Raleigh, North Carolina
Dear Earth,
Growing up in Raleigh, nature was part of daily life—pine forests, muddy creeks, and summers that smelled like honeysuckle. Those early experiences shaped how I saw the world and ultimately led me to design.
I became an industrial designer because I love solving problems. But over time, I realized that just making more and more things as a way to solve problems was not always helpful, it was actually harmful. I saw this to be true in healthcare specifically, where we rely on clean, safe and often single use products to deliver life saving treatments and medications.
At Parcel Health, we’ve worked to rethink that system. We design prescription packaging made from paper—recyclable, safe and durable—and intentional from start to finish. It’s not just a product swap. It’s a mindset shift.
This Earth Day, I’m reminded that good design doesn’t just serve people. It serves the planet too.

From Rebecca, CMO — Raised on a Farm in Michigan
Dear Earth,
I was raised with my hands in your soil. On a farm in Michigan, tucked between lakes and fields, you were never an abstract concept—you were breakfast. You were chores. You were where stories began. And you were where they ended, too. My parents taught me to listen to you—how to read the clouds, when to plant, how to nurture growth and of course, when to rest.
Those lessons stuck. So even as I stepped into the world of business, your wisdom continues to guide me. And today, as CMO of Parcel Health, I carry your voice into every meeting, every campaign. I fight to make sure that sustainability is not a sidebar—it’s the headline.
Our work isn’t just about paper bottles. It’s about redefining what it means to care. It’s about showing that healthcare can be both effective and responsible. That protecting people’s health includes protecting the planet that sustains them.
I believe in stories. And yours, Earth, is the greatest story we’ll ever tell. It’s time we tell it with care, with truth, and with the fierce love you’ve always shown us. I’m in this for you—for the trees I climbed as a girl, and the children who will climb them tomorrow.
With reverence and resolve,
Melinda, Mallory, and Rebecca
Three women. Three paths. One mission. One Earth. 🌍
