Celebrating Our Partner of the Month with Dartmouth Health
We are proud to celebrate Dartmouth Health, New Hampshire's only academic health system and a beacon of patient-centered innovation, as our Partner of the Month in April.

Just a month ago, Dartmouth Health made a landmark move by officially rolling out Tully Tube, our compostable, paper-based, curbside-recyclable prescription bottle across their pharmacy system, taking meaningful steps to positively impact the environment and promote patient and planet friendly practices in healthcare. This decision was the result of a thoughtful, multi-month journey that began with a pilot in September 2025 and a genuine commitment to listening to patients along the way.
Dartmouth Health's decision to move from pilot to ongoing adoption of the Tully Tube is s especially meaningful due to the intentionality behind it. They didn't just swap one bottle for another: they ran a pilot, gathered patient feedback, and let real patients’ feedback guide the decision to continue using the Tully Tube beyond the pilot phase.
"I love the new bottles. I love that they’re environmentally friendly and that I no longer have to try and shamefully hide the bright orange pill bottle I have to pull out of my bag to take my meds with people looking at me. The new bottle is pretty and discrete and makes me feel like I can take my meds as scheduled without weird looks (something I didn’t realize was an ick until this new bottle gave me a sense of empowerment)."

That kind of feedback speaks volumes. It's a reminder that packaging is never just packaging: it shapes how patients feel about their own care, their routines, and even themselves.
Chelsea Thurston, Dartmouth Health's Director of Pharmacy Operations, framed the shift beautifully, sourcing environmentally friendly containers aligned with the goal of reducing single-use plastics while maintaining the highest standards of care and safety. This is the balance every health system should be striving for and Dartmouth Health is showing it's entirely possible. For Dartmouth Health, the Tully Tube launch is the latest chapter in a sustainability story that began in 2020, when they transitioned to biodegradable packaging for shipping refrigerated medications. That early step planted the seed for what has grown into a full, systemic commitment to greener healthcare. That kind of steady, long-term dedication is what turns a pilot into meaningful, lasting change.
We are excited to be part of their journey toward reimagining what sustainable healthcare can look like, and we look forward to more collaboration and celebration ahead. Here's to the beginning of an impactful partnership with Dartmouth Health.
